Legacy & Retirement – Kingdom Resources
Investment & Savings Management
People make the accumulation of assets a goal to leave a legacy to their family. Proper stewardship will help in this endeavor. One should also consider the value of leaving a legacy to the Kingdom of God by providing some of their resources to various ministries. Often in my career I have seen people leave resources to the ministries or community services that were the last to meet their needs even though they served a ministry for decades.
Kingdom Business Succession Plan
For those who have a Kingdom business, which is a business designed to provide resources for the Kingdom of God, it is important to do succession planning that allows the business to continue being a resource for the Kingdom of God.

Spiritual Legacy
The spiritual legacy we leave behind is the love, the compassion, the encouragement, the wise counsel, and the commitment we pour into the lives of others. We need to pray for the opportunity to bless others each day.
Kingdom Career
Bob Buford, founder of the Half Time Institute, believes that around the age of 45 adults undergo a transition in their lives which he calls “Halftime.” Buford references this first half of life up to age 45 as Life 1, and the rest of your life as life 2. Buford, in his book, Half Time – the season of ”now what?” encourages those transitioning into Life 2 to step away from their work and commit their lives to ministry in order to build God’s kingdom and fulfill God’s purposes for your life. Buford believes committing your life to ministry not only enriches your life, but also is adds fulfillment.
Kingdom Ministry
As to meeting the needs of our community, we need to identify voids in servant hood, improve existing ministries, create a volunteer base, and network the ministries and the needs into a defined process. When someone suffers, they normally suffer in multiple ways. A divorce results in financial needs, emotional needs, family counseling, and educational needs for the children. The body of Christ is equipped to help, but government and a single individual cannot provide all that is necessary.
